Mom, this is on highway 2 between Hagerman and Dexter. Alison and I were going to Roswell and we decided to take the scenic route so we took highway 2 from Artesia.
Man…I got a new favorite picture for this experiment. I’m curious about how it looks in color though because of the vegetation growing on the bridge. But I bet that color also brings out the road in the background.
Okay a little camera info for those who haven’t heard me say this before. Every camera makes decision when you take a picture, and sometimes you have a say in those decisions. You may not have the option to adjust it, but every camera deals with things like white balance, etc. My camera has the option to shoot in RAW format, which means that my Canon camera does not set anything, and I can go in with the Canon software and set that info later. That is how I have this picture in both color and in black and white. This may sound confusing, but stick with me: I did not shoot this picture in color OR in black and white. The RAW file just saved the information and then I could choose with my Canon software things like white balance and color/black and white. Does that make sense?
Wow! The black & white picture seems so appropriate for a bridge this age. Where is it?
I love the black and white for this. The play of the light and the paint peeling….gorgeous photo! Really cool…looks like a fine art piece!
Darn it all! That was me above and I even knew that I was signed in as Ben, but just got carried away by the photo and forgot to re-sign in. Sorry!

Okay, bro, just for you. Here’s the color file. 🙂
