Edited?!? What are you accusing me of?

Ok.  Maybe I (thinking of the proper word here) modified it a little.  Just some minor cropping, midtone color enhancements, contrast, brightness, hue, saturation adjustments – alright – I edited the snot out of it.  But I only took about 3 pictures the entire weekend and they all sucked.  So welcome to my contribution to this site – a West Texas sunset viewed through the rearview mirror with some wind turbines above on the horizon.  Ahh a fun filled Friday night.  Slightly modified of course.  But I defy you to tell me that the sky is not actually purple – you weren’t there.

I think that is a wonderful picture! Isn’t this whole thing about learning to do new things w/cameras & EDITING???
I don’t even know what all those words you used even mean, so it’s not something I will probably be doing!!!
    Stunning picture!!!

OMG, I don’t care what you did to it…it is gorgeous!! You didn’t photoshop another photo into the mirror reflection did you? It’s amazing that both views are in focus…gorgeous shot!!!

Christi – my camera has NO adjustments at all. As such it shoots everything the same. It does not focus (at all) and is always F2.4 at 3.25 mm. Everything is always in focus unless I am trying to get something up close. Close will never be in focus on this thing. That is why it is challenging me a little TOO much and why I am trying to do a little bit of photo editing. I have never done any editing and am giving it a go since Mom is right and this is about learning new things. Maybe I will even learn how to open the wife’s Photoshop. (Well, not likely there – think I’ll just stay with Microsoft Picture Manager) Now if I can just take more than a half dozen pics a day I might actually have an opportunity to get better. But even trying is new to me. The only photos I usually take is of tank batteries and spill sites. Just need to find a little more time. Enjoying it Family! Keep up all the good work out there!

I am scared of photoshop myself. I keep debating opening up my Gimp, but I have to say that I am impressed…I really thought that this would have been something that you would have had to edit this way in photoshop. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Fantastic job with both the pic and the editing. Yay for improving skills and trying new things!!!
