They make me so happy, next year I’m planting pumpkins in our backyard! Someone please remind me when it’s time, or I’ll totally forget. Again.

I wasn’t going to post today since I didn’t get any pictures taken, but I wanted to since it’s October 13th. I love mexican cokes (made with real sugar instead of corn syrup). And I thought it had a good word for today-refresco!

…and make this my photo for today rather than the one I uploaded earlier. ;o)

…this is one of our little trees out front.

So I’m driving through downtown this morning, and I spot a tree, flowers, and a lamppost that I thought would compose a great post for today. I park, walk a ways, cross the street, and get in position for the shot. Click! Got it! But, no…
I had to leave my SD card at home. My hollow camera pouted.
So – I drive home, get the card, and return to the spot.
It was a lot of trouble, BUT in the end…it still wasn’t a great shot. I just chose this one and called it good. =)

This one of the first signs of fall in our back yard.

A rose on our bush. I “edited” by hitting the “spotlight” button — have no idea what that means, but it made the background look dark.

When Kat and I got home from our errands, we took a quick walk down to the river to see what we could photograph today. This top photo is my “official” picture for today…
But I also had to share the photo below (and it’s probably going to upload large because I want you to see the detail.)
I didn’t realize until I downloaded and viewed it on the computer, there is a deer in there. This is the same image as above, I have just cropped it so you can see the deer…

It’s hard to tell from this picture, but a smattering of leaves are changing. Yay!

Ok. Maybe I (thinking of the proper word here) modified it a little. Just some minor cropping, midtone color enhancements, contrast, brightness, hue, saturation adjustments – alright – I edited the snot out of it. But I only took about 3 pictures the entire weekend and they all sucked. So welcome to my contribution to this site – a West Texas sunset viewed through the rearview mirror with some wind turbines above on the horizon. Ahh a fun filled Friday night. Slightly modified of course. But I defy you to tell me that the sky is not actually purple – you weren’t there.

This was quite a picture with extra color. I did not know for sure how this would come out.
