The sun finally came out today and I managed to catch some of it shining through the seed pods out front…

Okay, here is my Haiku…such that it is…LOL. I don’t have much learning…in my book, poems need to rhyme as well as have rhythm. ;o)
Take photos each day.
Experiment all the way.
Ma Nature won’t play.

….now we just need the fairies flying around these little mushrooms and my world would be perfect!

Okay, I usually only use the lower half of my camera settings (the automatic ones), but David was showing me some things the other day so I was playing with some of my settings today. This was taken using the “M” mode on my dial and then I was changing the numbers (which may have been my ISO??) to get different amounts of light on my exposure.
This is a photo of my mums in the backyard and this one flower had that teeny tiny oak leaf hanging off of it. The leaf is only about an inch long.

Okay, so not much autumnal color here, but I figure that these funky acorns can only be an autumn phenomena.
We have a big oak in back and I never would have realized that the acorns were different, except I have been looking in detail at the trees with our challenge. These are bizarre. They are about the size of small apples. There aren’t very many of them (I would guess less than 20-25 on the entire tree…I could actually see about 12) and I didn’t see any on the ground. It will be interesting to see what they do/change as we progress through autumn.

They sure are fun, but they sure are making a mess of our flower beds. The chickens coming to visit from next door. There were 5 of them out there today…

This was my best photo that I took today…
….but since we have had so many branches/leaves, I thought that I would add my autumnal colored spider too….

When Kat and I got home from our errands, we took a quick walk down to the river to see what we could photograph today. This top photo is my “official” picture for today…
But I also had to share the photo below (and it’s probably going to upload large because I want you to see the detail.)
I didn’t realize until I downloaded and viewed it on the computer, there is a deer in there. This is the same image as above, I have just cropped it so you can see the deer…

Not sure if this is autumn related or if we need to call the tree doctor. This is one of our big trees out back…

After a weekend full of great football and spending the morning chatting with the teen about it, I felt like this was a good photo subject for today.
