Great shot — it’s like he just stopped & posed for you! Do you even have the wildlife trained to pose for you like those 2 red-heads?

Did you notice how fast the shutter speed is on this pic? Terrance gave me exactly 1 chance to get him. Luckily I had focused on the wire before he got there. By the time I found him again, his tail was disappearing behind the house. I sort of love this little guy. 🙂

I did…1/1600 is the shutter right? I am assuming that you were shooting in manual? Is the shutter speed ability (i.e. being able to get that high) determined by your camera body or your lens? I need to figure out where to adjust this on my camera…. Fantastic shot!!!

Okay ladies, since you and daniel (who counts as a lady in my book) have discussed/asked what mode people took pictures in, I told the website to show that info as well.

Christi, yes, the picture was taken in manual mode with a shutter speed of one sixteen hundredths of a second. The shutter speed is determined by the camera, not the lens. In Tv mode, the scroll wheel adjusts your shutter speed. With my camera, the fastest speed is 1/2000, and I am pretty sure yours will go as fast as 1/4000.
