blowing dust

Okay, this was playing around with the camera’s art filters-which is basically in camera photoshop. You’ll be shocked to know that it wasn’t b&w and grainy in real life.

Dunno what this is…

but it’s pretty and fall-y.  Daniel and I were out trying to find one more PERFECT photograph for the art show, and I found these pretty uhhh, berries?

The Studio Tour LOOK! I’m on it!

Capturing Autumn???

…not so much! LOL!

Okay, we went out to the lilypad park today (where I went the first day of our challenge and took all the photos of the butterflies…which are still there!!) I took 90 photos and I would guess that at least 30 of them are what I would consider good. Unfortunately all the ones that really include any autumn color are in the other 60 not-so-great photos. The 30 are all pretty spring-y looking (again!?!)

I uploaded 9 others onto Facebook besides these 2 so go look at those for today’s really good photos.

This first one is not that fantastic of a photo…pretty, but it does have a bit of autumn color in the background.

BUT the reason that I was taking photos of these flowers is because the bees were working them big time and coming out covered in pollen…so cool! There is another pollen-covered bee in the Facebook album too.

pods

This is a very good sign of fall when the pecan pods start opening up and dropping pecans.

Green Ash Tree Turning Yellow!

We have a pumpkin stem down! …I repeat, a pumpkin stem is down!

I adore white pumpkins, so I hate that the pumpkin stem didn’t survive its trip from Dripping Springs, Texas, in our car. The black at the base of the stem is my attempt at fixing it using electrical tape. It’s a wonder that this feat of engineering didn’t survive today’s 45+ mph wind gusts.

Snack time for the Doves

I made the comment on Dave’s gorgeous photo for today and then looked outside to see all our neighborhood doves gathered across the street for their afternoon snack…

Leaves on a sidewalk

Since it’s impossible in this high wind to get a closeup picture of leaves on the tree, you get the ones that are sitting on the sidewalk instead.
