Challenge is an understatement

Is all that brown a sign of fall??? Umm…afraid not. The drought has been really bad. I wanted to post this pic for those of you that don’t get out of town much. (Plus I like to go to this area but the feel and beauty of it just doesn’t come out in pictures.) This picture does not adequately show how bad it is out there. It came across better in the picture than real life and there are many places much worse than this. Finding autumn could truly be a challenge this year.

Know what you mean — seems we’ve been having fall & falling leaves for about 3 months! But there are some really pretty colors here!
I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS DYING OF THE CEDARS IN ALL OF MY LIFETIME. IT SURE SHOWS WHERE THE ROCK LEDGES ARE IN THE PASTURES.
It should be an interesting fall. Between the 3 days of temperatures in the teens followed by the bad drought, the trees have had probably had a lot more stress than they’re used to.
It’s so bad, but there is beauty even in the awfulness of it.
So sad. But I do love the perspective in how you set this up.
