Ick

I took this pic a couple days ago.  The spider moved a 1/2 inch just after I pushed the shutter release. Scared the DAYLIGHTS out of me.  HA!

Squirrel!

HA! A sure sign of autumn at last! I think I’ll name our little nut gatherer Terrance.  🙂

Betcha thought I’d post a pic of Mia…

…since it’s her birthday and all.  Well, I just couldn’t miss this opportunity!

And because you all knew good and well I couldn’t ACTUALLY not post a pic of the birthday girl…

Happy 5th Birthday Beautiful Girl!!

Lavender IS a fall color. It is, it is. ::stomp::

Also, there are some pine needles if you don’t want to believe my lavender theory.  I was at Fire Station 3 in Odessa waiting for my bride and groom to show for their photoshoot and I saw this little drift of pretty purple flowers.  Hooray!

October Birthday!

For the past 5 years, October means Mia’s birthday.  We celebrated today…and will celebrate some more on Tuesday, her actual bday. This child is just precious, has a funny personality and a contagious smile.  I’m so glad that God decided to veto our “only one child” plan.

And because you should SEE this contagious smile:

I LOVE gourds!

They make me so happy, next year I’m planting pumpkins in our backyard! Someone please remind me when it’s time, or I’ll totally forget. Again.

At the lake this weekend…

FINALLY! Some signs of autumn!  Here are my two favorites, one taken on Saturday one on Sunday.

See that shock of red on the far right?  Hooray for turning leaves!

Took this one during a Senior shoot of my new found cousin, Hailey.

And here is the reason I’ve been out this weekend.  My Mom and her siblings.  We had a great time meeting this big ol’ crazy family!

Well, her hair is a color of autumn…

…and it was taken on October 7. So, that makes it autumn-y, yes?  I thought so. 🙂

And because I’m a proud Momma bear, here’s my girl.  She’s SO GORGEOUS!!

Seeing some change

Not sure if these are just dying, or changing color.  Looks like a little of both.  Either way, I love the red. 🙂 Oh – I took this last night, btw. Been a slacker today.

The acorn collection

Took the girls on a photo walk while Daddy worked on the guest bathroom. Mia acquired quite a collection on our way, so of course her cute little hands and shoes (on the wrong feet) won out over the pretty autumn leaves I photographed.

(Yes, we’re STILL working on the bathroom. The texture guy is supposed to be here on Wednesday. Heh. We’ll see.)

The food of Autumn…

GUMBO!!  I’m not very good at cajun cooking, but I sure like trying! 🙂

Ahhh…shoes.

So…since didn’t even SEE my “real” camera today, my precious blackberry came to save the day! And who is surprised that my fall pic of the day was taken at the ball park, of my baby girl’s shoes.  🙂

It’s punkin season!

It still looks as though Spring has sprung outside…let’s move inside and pretend! I’ll put the pumpkin by the fireplace!  Woo hoo!
